I AM THE BENCH STRENGTH I know my plight!! I know my freedom, I know my possibilities. To do more, to stretch more and discover the real me!!
Graduating from a technical university, coming out as an engineer everybody hopes to get whole heartedly in to the corporate world with eyes full of dreams and opportunities unseen. But the real world, it comes offering lot of dogmas and a lot to go through.
Being in college nobody, and by that I refer the cool and happy go lucky faces who act in the present, really knows what are they really supposed to do in the field.
Nearly everybody gets absorbed in the well deserving IT sector of our country, which very well feeds the growth of our nation. Well, there is something we really experience after getting in. THE BENCH STRENGTH.
I AM THE BENCH STRENGTH. You can find me everywhere. May be my employer is keeping me in reserve for the expected work to come in, or I could be the projected figures of man power available.
I could also be adding up to the number of full scale on roll employees in the gazettes of international technically skilled labor records.
WHAT IS BENCH STRENGTH and its classifications?
Fresher: I came in and never got to see what’s going on. I have a bunch of officials responsible for me whom I have never seen or met. But my employer takes a good care of me. He pays me every month end, conducts trainings to keep me up-skill and invites me to every occasion celebrated. But to the corporate world, even after one year of employment, I am a Fresher!!
2-4 Years experienced: I have seen the work culture, have had hands-on with the concepts. I have grown in the organization and contributed as well. There are a lot of reasons for which I AM THE BENCH STRENGTH. Some I am aware of could be the current market scenario, availability of work or something else. But I have made myself employable with my years of work I’ve put behind me. I feel a little in control but nothing is predictable.
5+ Years in the Arena: A thing like BENCH STRENGHTH never existed at such a scale when I joined back then. I AM THE BENCH STRENGTH at the moment, I am a costly asset to the organization for my inputs and I need to carry on, work harder, bold and effectively. I may look in a very comfortable position and that comes from my loyalty to my employer, who fed me for so many years in various ups and downs. But in the volatility of market I can be the first target of cost cutting and I need to push harder to avoid that.
I AM THE BENCH STRENGTH I know my plight!! I know my freedom, I know my possibilities. To do more, to stretch more and discover the real me!
