TWALKITOUT: And she left us forever. The high spirited 23 girl who put up a brave battle for life after she was gang-raped and brutally assaulted in a Delhi bus on December 16 that had created a nationwide outrage, died on Saturday morning in a hospital in Singapore.
We the people, the sufferers, the victims, the assaulters and the criminals. We have a lot of names. We are the cause and we are the casualty.
We have a police, yet defenseless. We have right to speak, yet stopped from protesting. We pay taxes yet we have metro stations closed on our face! We want to speak and all we can do is feeling out raged. Ignominy of being ill-treated is unbearable.
But we shall try, and try yet again, not to let go this incident in the long lane of forgotten tales. This wound is very much direct on our conscious. We have to retaliate and respond to leave a message.
A strict punishment for 5 accused is not enough, our government, our elected leaders need to wake up and be up on their toes to frame stringent laws and moreover motivate our police to exercise their duty to the mark.
