TWALKITOUT: Without education, Man is what, an animal with his senses unleashed.
Sex education in India, a country that is growing, adapting and learning foreign culture with an immense interest, is like a building block to one’s personal perception towards what is going on around. We call ourselves grown-ups but most of us are bewildered in our own disguises of these two words “SEX EDUCATION”.
Entertainment, exposure and a new lifestyle is being fed to an audience not ready to consume it in a healthy manner. Education makes us socially ready, viable and quality contributors to the system. Sex is a part of life that hovers over necessities, entertainment and has its own share of economy for products as well as veiled and unveiled portions in mass media.
Our education makes us fit for almost everything to grow-up with, but the stigma about sex stays. A growing teen needs to know how to handle his raging hormones in situations. He needs to be taught how to digest what is being fed to him from the society.
We compile problems arising from this particular sector as complex ones’s not depending one any particular reasons or something solid to blame. But the root cause is we are uneducated. We are not aware; we do not have it in our sub-conscious behavior, which governs our response to day to day life.
When we hope for a modern India, we must prepare an educated India, ready to accept and appreciate, not rage out and demonstrate.
